Audrey Whelan Interior Design is a small friendly studio based in North London.
Hello, we are here to help….
Since founding the business in 2009, we’ve developed an approach to the way we do interior design that places family life and all its transitions at the centre of our process. This is reflected in how we help people plan their homes, for now and for the future.
We are down-to-earth interior designers offering inspiring design ideas and practical advice as part of a collaborative process with our clients. For us, a successful project is one where our clients feel inspired and well informed to make the big decisions relating to the interiors of their home.
This collaborative process usually starts with a 2 - 3 hour consultation in situ in your home or workplace, where we aim to get you up-and-running with an initial vision of how your space could be.
We also run workshops for eager homeowners planning their own projects, or those who simply love interior design!
Audrey founded the studio in 2009 and has collaborated with over 250 London clients since then, on the design of their homes or workspaces.

What our clients say about us
"Thank you so, so much for your help, I’m really pleased with everything. Will definitely recommend you to friends etc when they move house!"
- Jennie, London NW1
"Audrey did our master bedroom curtains and blinds in the kids’ room. We were so impressed by everything from first meeting to after service. That quality, design, fit and coordination of production and hanging was all seamless and a real pleasure. Audrey really understands her client’s needs and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!"
- Eleanor, London NW5
"Audrey is a fantastic interior designer who is talented, professional, and a joy to work with generally. When we bought a flat that had been rented for some time Audrey enabled us to update and redesign our home into a beautifully habitable space with a floorpan that really worked as well as increasing our storage options. I was particularly impressed with Audrey’s attention to detail, accuracy, and creative problem solving skills. When it comes to doing a job right and with creative brilliance, Audrey totally delivers."
- Carrie, London N7

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: We would like to re-instate original features such as cornicing and picture rails in our Victorian house. But we also love the idea of a minimal handleless kitchen. We are not sure whether we can successfully combine these two styles, how would you advise us?
A: We love mixing old and new - with the right colour schemes, lighting and furnishings, we can create an interior that successfully combines decorative period features with minimal mod-cons, by bringing in lots of elements to bridge the gap between these two ends of the spectrum!
